Q. Is Codys Cozy Pals insured?
A: Yes, we are fully insured and you can get a copy of the papers at the front desk at check in.
Q: Does Codys Cozy Pals have any client references
A: References are available at the front desk.
Q: What are the hours my dog recieves care.
A:
We are there 6am to 11pm.
Q: Do I need to bring food?
A: If your pet has a regular food or special diet, it would be best that you bring food so that nothing upsets your pets stomach while boarding; however, its not mandatory and we can provide “House Food” with a $2.50/day per animal charge. All Codys Cozy Pals tries to maintain the best services at the lowest prices in Capital District and because of rising supply costs, now has to charge for “House Food”, however, if you bring your own food it is still free. Bring only the food that your dog needs plus 1-2 days, as any left over food is donated to local rescues and shelters. You will not be given food back at pickup, so bring only what you need.
Q: Do I need to bring bedding material?
A: You are welcome to bring bedding, however we do wash things regularly and if proper labels are not on your things it may get mixed up. We do our best to keep your things with your dog and returned at end of visit .
Q: Can I bring toys and/or blankets?
A: Yes. If you would like to bring a toy we will gladly give it to your pet. We allow one toy per animal in the Fun Runs but, please keep in mind however that very small toys may get bumped or knocked into the run next to your pet and the staff may not be able to tell what is your pets toy and what is not. Therefore we cannot guarantee toys will be returned. Please label all toys and blankets.
Q: Can I bring treats for my pet?
A: Yes. By all means you may bring treats. The staff at the Codys Cozy Pals will make sure treats are given as often as you like.
Q: What if my dog is on medication?
A: Not a problem. Just bring in your pets medication along with a set of instructions and rest assured that your pet is in good hands. This is considered our responsibility to your pet and is offered at no cost unless deemed excessive and will be determined at drop off.
Q: Can I pick up my pet on Sundays?
A: Yes. Codys Cozy Pals allows pick up on Sundays until noon at half day pricing, after noon full day rates apply. Normal rates apply and hours are 8am to 6pm
Q: Can I get my deposit back if I cancel my booking?
A: Yes. You may receive a refund of your deposit if you cancel before the cancellation deadline. The deadline is usually 14 days before major holidays, but it best to check the cancellation calendar on our website or call to verify dates. We do not require deposits every holiday, just on major holidays, that is why it is best to check first. If your booking is cancelled after the last cancellation date, your deposit is then non-refundable.
Q: Does my pet need any vaccination?
A: Yes. In order to book your pet will need to be current on all required vaccinations.
Required Vaccines
For Dogs – Rabies, Distemper (DHLPP) and Bordetella.
For Cats – Rabies and Feline Distemper (FVRCP).
Pet Vaccinations - Easy & Simple: just bring in a copy of your pet's most recent vaccinations, you can pick these up at your vet and drop them off when checking in.
Q: Will my pet get bitten by another pet?
A. At no time will your Pet be in contact with someone else’s Pet unless you ask for your Pet to be socialized with other Pets in Doggie Daycare. When in Doggie Daycare, understand that when dogs play, they use their paws and mouths and like wolves, their play mimics fighting or wrestling. In rare instances play goes too far and a dog can get bitten or scratched. Think of it like playground, occasionally, kids who play hard end up with cuts and bruises. Rest assured however, that Codys Cozy Pals takes the safety of dogs in our care very seriously and takes all precautions to avoid any occurrence of injury.
Q: Do you board animals other than dogs and cats?
A: Yes. Codys Cozy Pals is happy to board any domesticated household pet that you may have. To get prices and what might be required for your pet please call the Codys Cozy Pals at 518 786-PALS (7257).
Q: Do you offer long term boarding discounts?
A: Yes. If you are boarding for 30 days or more we do offer discounted rates. For more information contact the Codys Cozy Pals at 518 786-PALS (7257).
Q: Do you work with a vet?
A: Yes. In any emergency we not only contact the owners but the pets vet as on record. In a case of an after hours emergency the pet is taken to the closest available emergency vet clinic.
